Jeff seems to decide contents of his latest book based on who he's currently at war with.Archie Brodsky and I got a letter from Prometheus Books seeking permission to reprint chapter 18 in The Truth About Addiction and Recovery, entitled "Where the Solutions Really Lie: Re-Establishing Communal Ties," to be included in a book entitled, Drugs: Should We Legalize, Decriminalize, or Deregulate?, editted by Jeffrey Schaler. Our published, Simon & Schuster, contacted us to work out a price together, since S&S owns U.S. rights to the book but we own international rights. We proposed a figure, which the Prometheus representative responded was too high, and asked us to renegotiate, which I had Archie Brodsky do. Some time later, Archie got a message from Jeff -- the letter had been sent to us by mistake, since Jeff had eliminated the chapter from his book. Aside from the fact that Jeff seems to decide contents of his latest endeavors based on who he's currently at war with, does this failure at communications at Jeff's end shed any light on how a car was sent for me after he kicked me off his "Debates, Debates" TV show?
