In the interest of truly clearing the air, it would be helpful to state which rules were broken, in what way, and demonstrating clearly that these rules were established and publicized well before the removal of several highrespected members of the academic community, at least a couple of which have a reputation for very civil discourse. Until the rules violated are clearly spelled out, your assurance that the removal of these individuals had nothing to do with censorship or free speech will mean little.

I was on the CD list when you kicked Stanton, Robin, Rob and Tomec off. I resigned from the list in protest. And, yes what you and Martin did was censorship plain and simple. [..] I don't know what happened at the the station. I was not there. But every thing else is as it has been told on this and other lists by Stanton, Rob, and Tomec. It's your list. I guess that you can do whatever you desire with it. But don't expect those of us on this list to believe what you did was right.
