You helped me escape both AA and alcoholism

I spoke on the phone with you back in 1992. I had been in and out of AA for 10 years but could not get more than 6 months clean and sober at any given time. I realized after much soul searching that AA was helping me to continue to feel that I was a failure and unable to manage my own life, therefore I was unable to look at myself in a positive light. With your KIND and WISE words I took control of my life, and now have almost 5 years clean and sober, without AA! This was achieved when I took responsibility for my problem and not relying on something unknown or someone else. I will ALWAYS be grateful that you took the time to return my call that day in 1992!
